Keep in mind that the BIA’s zip code is also changing tomorrow (new zip is 20530-0001), which will be an especially terrible headache for those hoping to get something filed tomorrow. If you send your filings to the wrong zip code tomorrow, it will be delayed, because the BIA’s mail is being processed in a new facility.
When the BIA announced its change of zip code, it also said the Board “will no longer maintain a Post Office Box and will only accept mail sent to its street address.” That means someone needs to be at the office to accept the filing. We haven’t received confirmation from the Board on how its mail room will be staffed tomorrow or thereafter if there is a shutdown.
